What a Spoiled Brat

That would be me.
YES. As unbelievable as it sounds, I am a spoiled brat!!

I recently grumbled and complained about Amazon’s lousy shipping service lately– how it’s taking them forever to ship my latest few orders out of the warehouse. But Carole, a lady with a good head on her shoulders, left a comment:

I will share everyone’s woes about Amazon’s slow shipping, but I presume all of us are referring to the “free Super Saver shipping”? Because despite the fact that sometimes I have to wait quite a while for my stuff (although sometimes stuff does still come super quick – I ordered a vacuum recently that came within 3 days!), I am extremely happy that Amazon continues to offer FREE shipping at such a low threshold of $25 – I really don’t know any place else myself that offers a bajillion products that ship free for spending only $25. I just make sure I order my stuff well in advance of when I need it, but I really can’t muster a lot of anger about their slowness when they’re giving it to me for free, esp in this economy. My 2 cents.

Carole, you are absolutely right!

I often take advantage of Amazon’s free shipping service (there are other stores that offer it, and I do take advantage of them as well, when I can). It’s FREE!! Who can complain? Of course, I would prefer that Amazon do their best to still give me timely, efficient service and to keep their prospective delivery schedule. But yes, the shipping I refer to is free, and it is wrong of me to complain. I got very spoiled by Amazon, because they have really great prices, loads of goodies, and their free shipping was always so fast. Lately it has not been fast; heck, it hasn’t even been slow. It’s been sloooooooooowwwwwwww. But maybe Amazon is going through some hurdles of their own. I’m sorry, Amazon. I do still love you. You’ve been good to me! :D

Dear Crabby,I’m in the Philippines on the edge of a jungle, and Amazon won’t deliver here, but when I was back in Illinois,I will agree with you that products shipped to me got there a lot slower than what I was used to. And while I am on the topic of slow,my Entrecard won’t drop on you, says “get one.”,well,I’ve got one,and I am logged in to Entrecard, but no go,just got reinstated a few days ago, just wanted to let you know. To tell you the truth,I’ve had a problem with some other sites, and I am starting to get crabby!

You, Crabby Blogging Lady, are apologizing for being crabby? WTH? Is the world ending? I don’t understand.

Maybe Amazon is just trying to outdo the U.S. Postal Service to see who can go slower! Hey there, Crabby Blogging Lady, why don’t you take on the government’s mail delivery service. I bet that will get your crabby juices flowing again.

LOL! I am sorry everyone that I made the Crabby Blogging Lady be un-crabby for a moment! What have I done?!? LOL :-D Well, I actually am happy you’re giving Amazon a little break, I love them too! However, feel free to go right back to being crabby now!! :-P

GAH! I submitted a comment but WordPress ate it!! GRRRRRRR. Boy I hate it when that happens!

Dave– sorry about the Entrecard gaffe. Don’t get me going on Entrecard, I may blow another gasket!!! I hope it starts working soon. Thanks for your comment. :D

Buggys– I know I know! I’m not exactly apologizing for being crabby– more like I’m crabby and mad at myself! :D HA! It must have been the warm fuzzy feelings of Thanksgivin that threw me off. I’ll be back, rip roaring and breathing toxic flames, very soon. Definitely by February. Because I just hate the month of February and there are no holidays to make it endurable!

Patricia– This may blow you away, but… I don’t have many qualms with the Post Office. Sure, they play politics (I have an insider’s view of the place if you know what I mean), around here you have to “know” someone to get a job, etc etc. But I think the USPS should raise their prices, through the roof. Then maybe those evil junk mail companies will send less of their trash.

Carole– ah, you are forever stigmatized!!! You made The Crabby Blogging Lady un-crabby! ;) lol. And yes, certainly- I’d be happy to be crabby once again, thank you. ;)
