The Plan to “Save” the Media’s Financial Crisis!

Sue the bloggers!

Yes, that is actually a “plan” to “save” the media’s financial crisis! “Improving the media,” and “telling the truth,” didn’t make the list, folks! Their scheme is to SUE us! And for what?! Why, for “copyright infringement,” that elusive, amorphous, wonderful magical mix of legal nonsense that changes every couple of decades!

It USED to be that “copyright infringement” meant that one person stole the works of others and claimed it as their own. You know– like, steal the top secret plans of the inner workings of a PS3 and sell it as something you yourself created. Today, “copyright infringement” is the mere passing along of information! Such as, copying and pasting from a news story online to “prove” a point or to quote someone. That’s copyright infringement?!?!?!??! IDIOTS. I’d posted about this before– I KNEW this was coming! You can’t even HUM a SONG on YouTube without being slammed.

I would love to copy and paste the news story from Wired regarding this “discovery” of how to “save” the media’s bankrolls… but I may get sued for copyright “infringement”! So what’s a blogger to do? Go and look for it yourself.

Hydrotherapy For Cats?!

This is going way way too far. Watch this video and you tell me what you think.

That poor cat!! They are calling it “hydrotherapy” for cats, but did you hear that poor cat plea for help? That isn’t hydrotherapy!! That’s torturing the poor cat! Cats hate water! If the poor cat has an injured paw, get the cat some power wheels, don’t torture the poor thing in a pool!

Cats are NOT people, hello!!!! “Hydrotherapy” for cats, balderdash! More like “millions of bucks” for therapists.

I don’t know where the idea has derived from in our modern culture that animals are equal to humans. Hey– animals are CUTE, they deserve to be well treated, absolutely. But to treat animals like humans is insane. It shows how far gone society has degraded. Animals cannot reason. Torturing them to make them “better” is not humane, it’s WEIRD.

Just my two cents, as always. :D

From Unruly to Dangerous

Kids these days. Holy cow. Look at this news story!

Security guards posted at Buffalo city pools after rowdy teens pull in lifeguard

BUFFALO — Armed security guards have been posted at public pools in Buffalo after a lifeguard was pulled into the water by rowdy teenagers and other unruly behavior prompted safety concerns for parks employees.

The city’s eight public outdoor pools were shut down last Thursday after fights broke out and a locker room was vandalized.

At one pool, a 16-year-old lifeguard says she was yanked by her ankles into the water when he tried to restore order. She says she struck her head on a drain and then was repeatedly dunked by several teenagers until another lifeguard rescued her…. read rest of story here.

These aren’t “rowdy” teens. This is getting dangerous now.

I hope that lifeguard and others have plenty of term life insurance. A CONCUSSION they gave her! They nearly drowned her!!!! This is unconscionable. And it isn’t just a bunch of unruly kids fooling around– this is a plague, circulating through the youth like an infectious disease. It’s enough to warrant SECURITY GUARDS being posted!! I hope you social engineers are happy! This is the kind of generation you’ve got because you all wanted to be “free” from moral restraints and “religion.” Shame on you for ignoring what wise men before us have said:

We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other. -John Adams

Before any man can be considered as a member of civil society, he must be considered as a subject of the Governor of the Universe. -James Madison

We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel. -Benjamin Franklin

Without morals a republic cannot subsist any length of time; they therefore who are decrying the Christian religion, whose morality is so sublime & pure, [and] which denounces against the wicked eternal misery, and [which] insured to the good eternal happiness, are undermining the solid foundation of morals, the best security for the duration of free governments. -Charles Carroll, Signer of the Declaration

Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars…The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and cherish them….Let it simply be asked, “Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert?”…And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds…reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle. -George Washington

Cheesy “File” Media News Images…

Why do news media outlets think it is so important to throw up (pun intended) images for their news stories? Most of them are “from the archives” or “file” images and are meaningless space wasters. Like this terrible one I saw this morning.

That’s a terrible image. Cheesy, yes. But TERRIBLE. Do we really NEED to have such an image to depict this story?!

Sheesh! While they’re at it, why don’t they just have some blood stains, or blood dripping from the knife? Why not have a severed head for a REAL eye-popping effect, huh?

Note to news organizations: skip the cheesy images. We’re all adults here. And while you’re at it, please ditch the cheesy bad breath treatment ads for “morning breath” and the underarm deodorant ads with people sniffing their armpits. They’re kinda dumb, too.

Woman in New York Charged with Adultery

OH. MY. GOSH.

*gasp gasp gasp gasp* Noooooooo!

Are we in Saudi Arabia!??!??!???!

That’s the attitude of news reporters at NYDailyNews about this story. Give me a break. What an immature reporter! So liberal that his brain is about to fall out of his skull. I hope his wife reads his articles…

A woman arrested for public lewdness for allegedly having sex in a park is facing a surprising additional charge: cheating on her husband.

No, this wasn’t in a Muslim country far away, it is happening in New York.

Suzanne Corona, a 41-year-old woman from Batavia, N.Y., just east of Buffalo, was busted along with 29-year-old Justin Amend last week, police said.

So it has to be a Muslim country for adultery to be a crime?! What crap!

Adultery is evil. It’s lying, it’s destroying, and it’s illegal. And it should be! I am not Muslim but I cheer those Arabs on when they take a stand against adultery! I think New York (and the other states) are far too lenient with adultery.

The pair allegedly were having sex on a picnic table near a playground in Farrall Park just after 5 p.m. on Friday, according to WHAM 13. Police report several parents and children were nearby.

“[The police officer] asked them what they were doing, and they said, ‘Just talking,’ and obviously they weren’t just talking,” said Officer Eric Hill, of the Batavia Police Department.

Both have been charged with public lewdness. When it was discovered that Corona was married, the adultery charge was added. She faces up to 90 days in jail or a $500 fine.

In court on Tuesday, Corona did not enter a plea, but vowed to fight the constitutionality of the charge.

“One of the reasons you don’t see this charge more often is that the law in New York State requires that there must be corroboration,” Genesee County District Attorney Larry Friedman told the Daily News.

Moreover, the woman should be busted for irresponsibility and stupidity. She blames everything under the sun for her criminal behavior.

According to court papers obtained by WHAM 13, Corona told police at the time of her arrest, “I know what I did was inappropriate and I apologize, but you’d understand if you knew what my life was like.”

She told officers her husband is “transgender,” and that the two “never had sex.”

“The police are not out conducting investigations looking for people committing adultery,” Friedman said.

“At this point, the charge is still pending,” he added, noting that it was the police who chose to charge Corona with adultery.

Although he was not sure how old the law was, the district attorney said one other person had faced similar charges in Batavia 13 years ago. Records indicate nearly a dozen others have been similarly charged statewide, according to ABC News.

I can’t get over how shocked the reporters are. It’s like they are flabbergasted that adultery is actually WRONG and should be PENALIZED. :unbeliv: Yeah, buds, you’d better watch out…

For those who are concerned about the Adultery Law, all I have to do is throw this quote back into your face:

If you’re not doing anything wrong, you don’t have anything to worry about, right?! Right?!?!

News Flash! Kids Are Stingier and Meaner Than Ever Before!

THIS is NEWS?!?!

College Students Have Less Empathy Than Past Generations

College students today show less empathy toward others compared with college students in decades before, a study from the University of Michigan says.

Sara Konrath, a researcher at the university’s Institute for Social Research, looked at 72 studies that gauged empathy among 14,000 college students in the past 30 years. She found that empathy has been declining — especially since 2000.

The research finds that college students today show 40% less empathy vs. students in the 1980s and 1990s. The students are less likely to agree with statements such as “I often have tender, concerned feelings for people less fortunate than me” and “I sometimes try to understand my friends better by imagining how things look from their perspective.”

The study did not evaluate why students are less empathetic, but Konrath says one reason may be that people are having fewer face-to-face interactions, communicating instead through social media such as Facebook and Twitter.

“Empathy is best activated when you can see another person’s signal for help,” Konrath says.

All you have to do is go out for a drive. You don’t need a reporter to tell you this, bub. Holy cow, kids are NASTY today! “Empathy,” what a word, lol. They “lack” “empathy.”

Maybe if they weren’t so pampered and pandered, that might help? Maybe if they didn’t have everything handed to them on a silver platter? Maybe if they actually interacted with the sick, the weak, the infirm, a little more? So much for all that “self-esteem” crap in school. Kids don’t need “self-esteem.” They need to work their BUTTS off so they know that 1.) Kids are NOT the center of the universe, 2.) They develop a sense of accomplishment in a JOB WELL DONE and not a prideful attitude of the eternal importance of their existence amongst us mortals.

Kids should work hard at anything and everything– digging ditches, sat prep, whatever. But they MUST be forced to work hard. And they must stop being pampered!!!

Our society cannot righteously complain about the monster that society has created. It didn’t just magically happen. These monster have been created. Welcome to the school of hard knocks, you “empathy” “lackers.” It’s called REAL LIFE. As soon as you go out into the real world away from your ivory towers and coddling parents, and try to find jobs amongst your peers and try to make a living, you’ll find out that everyone ELSE is JUST as lacking in empathy as YOU!
