A World Economy Based on the Whims of a Few Moody Men?!

Holy cow, this headline and accompanying news is disgusting: Dollar Tumbles on Uncertainty About U.S. Debt Talks. And they say WOMEN are emotional?! Helloooooooo..

So investors are skittish because our stupid government can’t get their act straight. Well, someone please tell me how this is news?! What SHOULD make the large headlines is when U.S. politicians finally get off their fat butts and honor their oath to defend, protect and adhere to the U.S. Constitution! How’s them apples? And how about investors show a little ADULT temperance and stop whining like little babies because things are not superduper peachy keen this very moment?

Anyway, I really can’t get over how so self-absorbing the money lenders are. And the media feeds it. REPORTING THIS MINUTE: Warren Buffet hiccups– investors are nervous! STOCKS CRASH 3 points when Obama’s teleprompter shuts down! Blah blah blah.

Do we really need another thing to be worried about?

Is It Really THAT Bad Here?

Well, here’s an interesting story. An immigrant living in Minneapolis robbed a bank. No, no that’s not very interesting. He robbed the bank to get CAUGHT. Well, that’s not terribly interesting, either. He wanted ot get caught so her could GET DEPORTED.

Back to SOMALIA.

 Aichihuahua, is it really that bad here in the U.S.?

The guy sent a threatening note to the bank teller, then waited in the lobby for the police to arrive. He wants to get deported or go to jail. The story doesn’t say WHY he wants to get deported. It’s very odd.

I have heard other stories, not from the media but from various other bloggers and such, of folks who save up enough $$, retire, then go livein the tropical jungles of Southeast Asia. They say there’s more freedom there and that the currency has more authority there. And American goods are very coveted– grab an xbox network cable for a few bucks here, sell it there for millions. Well, not millions, OK I’m exaggerating. But you know what I mean.

All very, very odd.

Proof Once Again That Politicians Are Out of Touch…

…well, er.. maybe they are a little TOO MUCH in touch, when I think about this topic….

So you’ve heard about the New York State Representative Anthony Weiner. What a disgrace of a representative. Doesn’t ANYBODY stop to think about that that word MEANS?? The guy REPRESENTS the people of New York! Have we no honor, no self-respect? We let a guy like this represent us???

It looks like Mr. Weiner is getting a slap on the wrist for what he’s done. All that’s at stake is his job and career. Oh yeah, and his marriage. That’s KINDA important, too (although, just not to Mr. Weiner).

In light of this scandal, politicians are taking action to fix this heinous behavior– by making it less of a crime. Oh, yes!

It’s called “sexting.” The word makes me shudder because it’s so flippant. Apparently, it’s an “epidemic” amongst teenagers. According to MyWay News, 1 in 5 young people have “electronically transmitted explicit photos of themselves, and one third say they have received such photos.” OK, that is DISGUSTING. That’s not “normal” societal behavior. A kid caught doing it has committed a felony crime, because transmitting indecent photos of a child falls under child pornography laws.

So what do the politicians want to do? Reduce the penalties! Golly gee! Child porn isn’t truly child porn if it’s the child doing it, they say!! Yes, seriously, they actually mean that. Unbelievable.

These politicians are IDIOTS. Instead of watering down these laws because teens are doing it, these teens should be clobbered with the hard hand of the law so that they’ll learn their lesson that doing such stuff is disgustingly sick and a reproach in society.

I don’t know where this philosophy comes from, that “kids will be kids” and the judicial system needs to go easy on them. I am of the exact opposite belief– you don’t “go easy” on a kid that rapes and murders a toddler because “kids will be kids” and “kids make mistakes.” That actually happened in my area: a 13-year old raped a 2-year old and murdered her, then put her in her little crib overnight. When mom came home, she found her daughter dead. The punishment for the boy? A couple of months in a juvenile detention unit. I cried my eyeballs out when I heard that. What does that say to that kid, to society in general? That it’s not really all that bad to abuse little girls and kill them. Good Lord….

No, KIDS will NOT be kids. Sending lewd photos of yourself is not “kid” behavior. This kind of crap should not be tolerated, not even once. The consequences are so devastating to other people. I’m a firm believer in hard laws being an excellent deterrent. Even if it’s not a deterrent to the child, it would be for the parent who’d have to pay $5,000 and see their precious little baby go to jail for a while.

That’s Bad Fung Shei…

…. or Fun SChwung…. or Feng Schweing or whatever the heck that is.

YOU KNOW. The placement of stuff in a room to make everything “flow.” So your spine will tingle with Buddhists’s Delight when you walk into a room.

Oh wait, I looked it up. It’s Feng shui. OK OK. Got it.

Apparently, the Brits DON’T got it. Go to this photo and take a look. It’s OK, it’s not a bad photo. It’s a picture of Michelle Obama, PBO, and the Queen of England in a room. I’d post the photo here, but I’m afraid I’ll get sued for “copyright infringement” if I do. So you’ll have to click the link yourself and go see. I’ll wait for ya….

Whadaya think? BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

Er, uh, I mean– THAT’S TERRIBLE! HORRIBLE! Michelle has had some pretty weird fashion ‘dos, but this one takes the cake. I think everyone was perhaps more concerned about how to remove dark circles than plant placement, eh?

Those Brits– did they do that on purpose? It seems pretty obvious that such a gigantic plant would make the poor lady look like Medusa. You can read the little story here. It’s almost like they are snickering under their scones…..

You’d Better Apologize, Buster

Gee, part of me feels sorry for the guy, but most of me feels really disgusted.

Ed Schultz of MSNBC apologized for calling Laura Ingraham a “talk show radio slut” on the air.

That really is unconscionable. Really. Schultz apologized, but his apology still rings a little fake to me…

“On my radio show yesterday, I used vile and inappropriate language when talking about talk show host Laura Ingraham. I am deeply sorry, and I apologize. It was wrong, uncalled for and I recognize the severity of what I said. I apologize to you, Laura and ask for your forgiveness. It doesn’t matter what the circumstances were. It doesn’t matter that it was on radio and I was ad libbing. none of that matters. none of that matters. What matters is what I said was terribly vile…

Now why did he make that exception: “It doesn’t matter that it was on radio and I was ad libbing”? No it doesn’t matter AT ALL. Why mention it? It doesn’t even matter if you, Mr. Schultz, REALLY think Ingraham IS a slut or not. She’s NOT. And you had no right to say such a thing, even if you “messed up” because you were ad libbing. Not at a party, not while shopping for hot tub covers, never. Slander is serious stuff.

Anyway, the guy lost his job. Which is sad. I mean, it’s sad for anyone to lose their job. But Schultz took it like a man. And it is definitely a signal to others that just because someone is a liberal and/or has a high-ranking job protected by a lot of rich mucky-mucks doesn’t mean you can go around slandering people’s character because you don’t like their opposing ideas.

Epsilon Makes Me So Mad, I Could….

:explode: !!!!!!

Just read a Kim Komando article about *the latest* on the massive Epsilon data breach. I could scream, I tell you.

This data breach reported by a company by the name of Epsilon keeps getting more and more interesting. Epsilon handled the email marketing campaigns for major companies like Chase, Best Buy, Target and others. More than 2,500 companies use Epsilon to manage their client email lists.

If you bought anything from any of these companies or registered your email address with them, your name and email address could have been compromised. Millions of people have been affected.

Until recently, the main result of this breach was increased spam. Some people also received basic phishing email from online swindlers. That isn’t very surprising.

Now, Epsilon says if you registered your name and email address at a GlaxoSmithKline Website for certain prescription and nonprescription drugs, watch out. The bad guys have your name, email address, and they also know what drugs you might be taking.

OK, I don’t do the Glaxo thing. But the PRINCIPLE of the issue is what enrages me!!!! These people need to get their act together, have a major Mega Meeting web video conferencing meeting and make some heads roll! There is NO EXCUSE for the constant theft of OUR information. It’s making me so sick I could puke.

Worst of all, we– the little guys– are powerless. Powerless. Totally unAmerican this is. GAH
