It’s almost here: the night responsible citizens and property owners sit up all night, guns in one hand and phones in the other, preparing for that one night of “mischief” where the worst of the population is allowed to wreak havoc, destroy property, and worship satan. All while law enforcement and other mindless citizens chant, “Oh well, kids will be kids…”

I HATE HALLOWEEN. Hate it. I’ve hated it ever since I was 14 or so. What a crappy “holiday.” I can’t believe that people actually recognize this day, let alone “celebrate” it!

Don’t give me that crap that this is “all for the kids” and “it’s only about dressing up.”

NO WAY!

Let me ask you something, you who say this– if my town celebrated Hitler’s birthday, what would you say to that? Oh, we don’t bake a cake that says “Happy Birthday, Hitler” on it, no… but we dress up, play dumb games and pass out goodies that rot our teeth. We carve vetetables with little arms in the raised “heil” position; some of us dress up with little black mustaches, too, ALLL in GOOOOD fun– knowing in the backs of our minds that it’s Hitler’s special day and it’s because of him that we set aside this day… but we celebrate guilt-free, and what we’re doing is OKAY, because ALL we’re doing is HAVING FUN and DRESSING UP! That’s what makes it OK, isn’t it?? Well, isn’t it?!?!

So now do you see how stupid that kind of reasoning is?

Halloween has disgusting pagan roots, and anyone whose brain hasn’t been washed by commercialism knows this. You can cover up the crappy celebration with decorations, treats, costumes, goodies, and apple-bobbings….. but we all know what it’s about. In the United States, Halloween was anathema to our godly forefathers… until the Celts brought the crap over in the late 1800s. Once the businessmen got ahold of the idea that they could sellsellsell all sorts of useless trash for this day and this day only, *BANG* it became a nationwide, celebrated “holiday!” There was no stopping it! And what’s absolutely gut-wrenching is that Christians actually take part in it, too!

In other countries, holidays have spiritual significance underlying the physical celebration (for good or bad). America is unique in that the only thing that makes us tick is MONEY and SHOPPING. Thus, Halloween is a-OK. It’s *just* a dress-up day Let the shopping celebrations begin!

P.S. Does anyone happen to remember that October 31 is Reformation Day? Does anyone even know what that IS?! If not, well, WHY NOT, huh??? How come Reformation Day isn’t celebrated in public schools, but satanic Halloween is, huh???

Dear Queen Liz:

Please don’t crown your son as king. PLEASE. He’s a kook. He says weird stuff all the time. He must get it from his father. Remember what Prince Philip said, about reincarnation?

“If I could be reincarnated, I would wish to return to Earth as a killer virus to lower human population levels.”

That’s positive leadership for ya.

Well, bonnie Prince Charles isn’t any better. As a matter of fact, I think he may be worse, because he takes things seriously. Take a look at the latest thing your son had to say:

“We are, of course, witnessing what some people call the sixth great extinction event – the continued erosion of much of the Earth’s vital biodiversity caused by a whole host of pressures, from the rising demand for land to the corrosive effects of all kinds of pollution,” he said.

Now, I’m not against being good stewards of the earth’s resources, but I think Charlie’s taking the WWF extinction a BIT too personally. We don’t worship Nature, dear.

In Charles’ defense, he does — on occasion — say something sane. Like his statement that teenagers should be bombarded with activities to prevent them from forming gangs. Yay, team. I also think young people should work until they’re exhausted. Idle teenagers get into trouble. Make ‘em chop wood and clean litter and scrub subway floors, I say.

Still, Charles is a little too weird. He’s also cheated on his wife and been, in general, a rather strange chap. I have high hopes for William. Hopefully, you do, too.

I got this photo in the marvelous Patriot Post humor email I get once a week. It was listed as a “FAIL” photo.

I love it!!! What’s so “FAIL” about this?! I think it’s superb! As a matter of fact, I think I may do the exact same thing with the STOP sign at the corner. We are plagued with nutty kids who do this. Actually, they people aren’t kids, they are ADULTS!! In their young 20s. I don’t understand why our culture coddles young people who act like babies but should be held up to their responsibilities.

Anyway, this sigh is a terrific idea!! Maybe I’ll even duct tape a fake surveillance camera, or even stake out the place with Big Agnes Sleeping Bags and a megaphone or something!! Ohhh the ideas are coming!!!

Security guards posted at Buffalo city pools after rowdy teens pull in lifeguard

BUFFALO — Armed security guards have been posted at public pools in Buffalo after a lifeguard was pulled into the water by rowdy teenagers and other unruly behavior prompted safety concerns for parks employees.

The city’s eight public outdoor pools were shut down last Thursday after fights broke out and a locker room was vandalized.

At one pool, a 16-year-old lifeguard says she was yanked by her ankles into the water when he tried to restore order. She says she struck her head on a drain and then was repeatedly dunked by several teenagers until another lifeguard rescued her…. read rest of story here.

These aren’t “rowdy” teens. This is getting dangerous now.

I hope that lifeguard and others have plenty of term life insurance. A CONCUSSION they gave her! They nearly drowned her!!!! This is unconscionable. And it isn’t just a bunch of unruly kids fooling around– this is a plague, circulating through the youth like an infectious disease. It’s enough to warrant SECURITY GUARDS being posted!! I hope you social engineers are happy! This is the kind of generation you’ve got because you all wanted to be “free” from moral restraints and “religion.” Shame on you for ignoring what wise men before us have said:

Colleges will soon be unlocking their campuses, releasing the little urchins so the dormitories can be hosed down and sanitized for another year…. and oddly enough, at the same time that the college kids hit the roads once again (some of them, literally), police blotters are bloated with mentions of DWI, DUI, and accidents. I don’t understand how an 18-year old can be slapped with “DWI” (Drinking While Intoxicated) when driving while drunk, the kid’s barely out of diapers and still using best acne treatment. They are DRINKING?! They are BELOW the drinking age, hello?! The DWI charge seems a bit moot… unless the penalties are harsher. In that case, I say throw the book at them.

When I worked in radio, back in the 80s, I had to play this stupid song almost EVERY HOUR during the Christmas music season. It nearly drove me up the wall.

I quit radio, gee, about 20 years ago now!, and for some weird reason, I remembered that song today. Funny how sentimental one gets as they age…

…so I played it for my kids. I was yukking it with peals of laughter, almost tossing my cookies because I was laughing so hard. The kids just had blank looks on their faces, obviously puzzled as to why their mother was having such a good time.

Whatever. I can party without them. I played it over and over, just like those bygone days of carefree and splendid youth! Over and over and over…

..and then… about a half hour later, I hear them singing it under their breath to each other. HA!

P.S. That music video deviates slightly from the song version. The video has Grandma pop out from the chimney, alive, after a day (apparently, Santa’s sleigh had dumped her in the chimney and she didn’t really die). The reason for the watered down version is because TV didn’t want to shock the young viewers with violence (death of Grandma) and have kids entertain the thought that Santa was a murderer. Lordy, how things have changed in 20 years!!
