200 Cows Drop Dead From a Virus??

Come ON!

The news story, I admit, is severely lacking information. Makes my paranoid mind shift into overdrive, people.

Apparently, 200 cows in Wisconsin were found dead.

Investigators are “investigating” but they already know it’s a virus that causes respiratory and reproductive problems.

OK OK– I can understand a couple of cows dead. A cow here, a cow there. And wouldn’t the farmer have, you now, KINDA KNOWN something screwy was going on with his cows? Like, maybe they sounded a little horse? (BWAHAHAHA!! Get it? OK OK I’ll be serious now). Maybe the cows were eating right, and it just MIGHT HAVE been a virus not those amazing appetite suppressant reviews.

But 200 cows? DROP DEAD???????????

A virus did that?!

They really expect us to believe this? How could this possibly be?

Any cow expert out there? Got any opinions?

Quit the Blame Game! And Other Musings

Have you noticed how the blame hounds took mere seconds to JUMP on the “Arizona Shooter” story?? Both sides of the table, too– liberals and conservatives! Sheesh, in the past, the hounds usually waited a few days to allow folks to mourn before using a tragedy to shove another agenda down people’s throats. Now, like Halloween in July, the hounds can’t start the show soon enough!

I’m tired of it. These guys are disgusting. I’m going to close my eyes and ears from it all.

You know, I have pergo floors to install, bills to pay, neighbor kids to scream at. I don’t need to have another goofy political agenda shoved down my throat because some lobbyists seeks opportunity. And DON’T YOU DARE TAKE AWAY MY SECOND AMENDMENT. Just sayin’.

In other news, we got lots o’ snow in the Northeast, did you know? It’s been a pretty good (average) season for snow. But then again, maybe liberals will outlaw snow because someone died of hypothermia… or maybe conservatives will outlaw meteorology because the weatherman was dead wrong when he said we’d only get an inch. And by the way– HA HA was he joking? Yesterday, we got 18 inches. It just wouldn’t stop. Even yesterday afternoon, when we already had 6 inches on the ground, the weather prophets were saying the storm would “taper off” any moment, and total accumulation would be 1-3 inches.

You know, it’s times like this that I really think we SHOULD just flip a coin.

So… how are you? Ready to take a break from the news yet? What are you doing this weekend?

Please Please Please Do Not Drive This Way

Just saw another news headline: a man died because his car was hit. BY A DRUNK DRIVER.

:wambulance: Why oh why do people drink and then drive? Why????

These situations are so, so common. In my metro area, I hear of it frequently, maybe 5 or 6 times a month (so it seems, I haven’t exactly counted). Some innocents die, some are maimed. It makes me wonder what other metro areas experience. If there were, say, 5 drunk driver accidents per month in my city, and then let’s say every city has that many… and I can guess that there are, what, 20,000 cities in the United States….. that’s 100,000 drunk driver accidents PER MONTH. That’s over a MILLION accidents per year.

:Jawdrop: Oh my word, it’s an epidemic.

I wish the Powers That Be would quit focusing on smoking or saying the R-word as major blemishes on our society. My dad smoked churchill cigars and said the R-word PLENTY and we kids turned out OK, right???? But he didn’t drive drunk! Good thing he didn’t or we might not even be around!

Anyway. PLEASE don’t drink and drive. Just face it– you’re an idiot when you drink. The last thing you want to have on your conscience is that you killed somebody because you couldn’t resist another beer.

I Like Jim Bohannon’s Idea

There’s been lots of flack about the TSA screening techniques, for good reason. As heinous as the screenings are, I do wonder why the media is giving this situation all their hype. It makes me wonder what’s REALLY going on, what really important news is being concealed? Hmm.

Anyway, looks like the government is doing everything it can to discourage people from opting out of the body scanners. Making lots and lots of people go through those backscatter machines is REALLY important to SOMEBODY out there. Makes me wonder if the reason they’re doing that is to test it out to improve the technology. Won’t be the first time we peons are the guinea pigs… Therefore the Gubmnt punishes folks who opt out, and forces folks to accept these “love pats” sessions, as that idiot Senator McCaskill called them.

The TSA says the whole reason for the body scanners and “love pats” is because some bombs are not constructed of metal– they may be plastic and therefore undetectable by the metal detectors.

Well, Jim Bohannon had a BRILLIANT IDEA. BRILLIANT. (In case you don’t know Jim Bohannon, see here). He had this great idea of ditching those body scanners and building big boxes that detonate bombs. Everyone wanting to board a plane would have to stand in the box first. If they were hiding a bomb on their person, the detonator would set off their hidden bomb, and they’d explode!

Talk about a crime deterrent!! I love the idea! It’s the best idea anyone has ever had since hoodia diet pills! It’s brilliant!!! It’s very do-able, too. I’m sure scientists could come up with a protoype in a couple of months!

What do you think?

Hey! That’s My Rights You’re Not Talking About!

Saw this story on WorldNetDaily. Wow, this guy has got some nerve. Obama skipped over “Creator” as he was quoting the Declaration of Independence!

I’ve tolerated this jerk for quite a while now… this is really too far over the top. IMPEACH!!!! How dare he pick and choose from OUR Declaration of Independence!

From Unruly to Dangerous

Kids these days. Holy cow. Look at this news story!

Security guards posted at Buffalo city pools after rowdy teens pull in lifeguard

BUFFALO — Armed security guards have been posted at public pools in Buffalo after a lifeguard was pulled into the water by rowdy teenagers and other unruly behavior prompted safety concerns for parks employees.

The city’s eight public outdoor pools were shut down last Thursday after fights broke out and a locker room was vandalized.

At one pool, a 16-year-old lifeguard says she was yanked by her ankles into the water when he tried to restore order. She says she struck her head on a drain and then was repeatedly dunked by several teenagers until another lifeguard rescued her…. read rest of story here.

These aren’t “rowdy” teens. This is getting dangerous now.

I hope that lifeguard and others have plenty of term life insurance. A CONCUSSION they gave her! They nearly drowned her!!!! This is unconscionable. And it isn’t just a bunch of unruly kids fooling around– this is a plague, circulating through the youth like an infectious disease. It’s enough to warrant SECURITY GUARDS being posted!! I hope you social engineers are happy! This is the kind of generation you’ve got because you all wanted to be “free” from moral restraints and “religion.” Shame on you for ignoring what wise men before us have said:

We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other. -John Adams

Before any man can be considered as a member of civil society, he must be considered as a subject of the Governor of the Universe. -James Madison

We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel. -Benjamin Franklin

Without morals a republic cannot subsist any length of time; they therefore who are decrying the Christian religion, whose morality is so sublime & pure, [and] which denounces against the wicked eternal misery, and [which] insured to the good eternal happiness, are undermining the solid foundation of morals, the best security for the duration of free governments. -Charles Carroll, Signer of the Declaration

Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars…The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and cherish them….Let it simply be asked, “Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert?”…And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds…reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle. -George Washington
