…never eat a gooey cheese Danish while sitting at the computer.
Especially if the Danish is particularly gooey. And especially if you have one of those computer desks with the sliding keyboard trays– yeah, those trays that put the keyboard right over your lap, and, oddly enough, right below your mouth that is being stuffed with gooey goodness?
And don’t eat it at the computer on the busiest day of the week, when you have all these deadlines to meet. Because now, you can’t; your keyboard keys are merrily sticking together now, mocking you. And, like, you have a LIFE beyond washing out gooey cheese danishes from the keys all day. Remember? You have a LIFE? Something you do in between stuffing your face with pastries?!
Just… don’t do it. K?

I am so glad that I am not the ONLY person to do something really dumb today. At least we can blog about our stupidity. Doesn’t that make us feel better?

Did it have the little slivers of almonds on the top? Wow, now I really want a cheese danish. I haven’t had one in years. Thing is, most “real” bakeries have disappeared and been replaced by the grocery store bakeries and I’m not usually tempted by their fare. There is a “real” bakery near my bank though. Maybe next time I go to the bank I’ll get a “real” danish. Mmmm!! I’d suffer the sticky keys for a really good danish.

That’s OK. Just use the letters that don’t have goo on them.
I’m forever wiping up that 4″x12″ area in front of my laptop, where all my crumbs fall. See, that’s why I bought a laptop. No external keyboard for a placemat!

I spilled an entire Coke on my keyboard once. To get the stickiness off, you can pop off all the small buttons with a nail file or pocket knife and clean them and the inside with rubbing alcohol. Just make sure you put the keys back in the right order. I thought I had until words showed up a little funky.

I will np lpnger be buying gppey Danishes. Sp be assured that the supply pf Danishes wprldwide will npw increase, making the benefits pf a new Danish econpmy available tp ypu all. Heck, with the increased supply in the market, they might even lpwer the prices pf the durn things.
As for my keybarrd, there are still a few things to be wprked put.
