BUT for you more stubborn people, let’s examine the issue a little further.

Need MORE proof?!

OK, how about what he said at the Oscars? The Oscar ceremony is in itself a bastion of idiocy, mindlessness, and celebration of Hollywood politics, BUT for the sake of playing the game and seeming open-minded, I will present my case.

He won an Oscar for Best Actor, for his portrayal as a homosexual in Milk. This is a portion of what he said:

“For those who saw the signs of hatred as our cars drove in tonight, I think that it is a good time for those who voted for the ban against gay marriage to sit and reflect, and anticipate their great shame, and the shame in their grandchildren’s eyes if they continue that way of support. We’ve got to have equal rights for everyone. And there are these last 2 things. I’m very, very proud to live in a country that is willing to elect an elegant man President…”

Uh, Mr. Penn. Last we all looked, there is no “right” for marriage, anywhere. Homosexuals DO have equal rights already, just like everyone else under the Constitution in this country– only, they have them as HUMAN BEINGS and not as homosexuals. Moreover, we are endowed by our “Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…”

So let’s make a few things clear:

• We are endowed rights by our CREATOR. Not the state.

Mr. Penn, do you believe in God? Because if you do not, who grants these rights? The state. And if the state grants them, and you have no problem with that, your argument is dumb. Accept what the state endows upon you. And what the state takes from you. But as for me, I recognize that it is God the Creator who endows these rights to us; but therefore if a country believes not in God but still wants God’s unalienable rights, there is a severe (and retarded) dichotomy in the land.

• We are endowed with certain unalienable rights, that is, LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness (technically termed “property,” not a hedonistic feeling of euphoria or the fulfillment of deviant sexual gratification).

Mr. Penn is part of Hollywood, where hedonism is the religion. But there is no legal “right” to hedonism.

Secondly, Mr. Penn believes in abortion. How can it be that Mr. Penn denies millions of babies their right to life yet feels thousands of homosexuals should have “rights” to marry?

• …deriving their JUST powers from the consent of the governed…

Ah, the caveat. “Just” is the word here: who or what determines what is “just.” What did the men, who wrote those words, determine what is “just”? They determined that the “just” powers of government are to be found in the Holy Scriptures, specifically the New Testament. I could go on a very long schpiel about that, but I do not want to presently. If you disbelieve, do the research yourself.

And.. “consent of the governed.” That funny little thing called Proposition 8 of California, to which Penn was referring when he spouted his grandiose but empty words. The people voted, Mr. Penn. The consent of the governed has consented. Your bad.

Americans and people of the world, let me let you in on something about Hollywood elites– they really believe that the worst Hollywood insider is of much more value and worth than the best average American. It’s true. So why heed anything these jerks say? Why bankroll their idiocy and tolerate their stupid words? Turn them OFF.
