Well the big news of the week was that idiot Michael Phelps, getting caught smoking marijuana. By now we’ve all seen the photo of the idiot smoking the “bong.” I have absolutely no regard for the fact that he won some Olympic gold medals. Big whoop.
MICHAEL PHELPS IS SUCH AN IDIOT.
Not because he’s thrown away his reputation. Not because he’s ditched his “role model” (idol worshiped) status. Not even because smoking dope is wrong as well as illegal.
It’s because the guy is TWENTY-THREE YEARS OLD.
Let me repeat that: He’s TWENTY-THREE YEARS OLD.
What the heck is he doing acting like a stupid, retarded idiot?! He’s an adult! He’s supposed to be responsible!
I despise how our culture treats people under the age of 30 like babies who need coddling, assistance, and excuses from responsibility and the REAL WORLD. It’s time to get these whiners out of their own little selfish worlds. Good God, when I think of how our culture is… how these people are “our future”…. it gives me the willies.

You hit the nail on the head here. He’s an irresponsible moron and deserves to be treated as such.
Some people haven’t learned there are consequences for their actions. Oddly, our society tries to excuse people from owning up to those consequences.
We’re in a lot of trouble.

OOh, I disagree. A lil pot never hurt anyone; frankly, it’s much healthier for individuals and societies than alcohol. Besides, he’s basically a super-human! Let him smoke a little weed if he wants. If anyone deserves to wind down a bit and party, it’s gotta be him.
And talking about “our future” smoking weed, just think for a minute about the people who are all in charge right now; they were teens and young adults in the 60′s and 70′s, so I think your point is a bit moot. Sorry. We’re not all doomed cause lord forbid one of our good swimmers hit a bong.
