How many blogs are in Entrecard? A million? Half a million? Quarter?
How come so few bloggers drop cards? Wha? I think there are only about 300-400 active card droppers amongst all those Entrecard members. Why so few?!
So why join Entrecards if you’re not going to participate?! I don’t get it.

My guess is the majority of people join because they’ve seen it being used on other blogs, but when they realize the time investment, they’re not prepared to invest it.
As for me, I always drop 300 cards per day. Takes me about an hour, and that’s with commenting along the way, like now. Some people find that’s too much time to give up in a day, but not me.
EC has done wonders to bring me extra, repeat visitors. I’m a satisfied ECer.

I figure it’s like anything else — social networking sites look great, but they do require a lot of time and effort to receive the benefits from them. I could well see someone joining Entrecard, using it for a bit and then just getting busy with other things.

I used to drop 300 cards a day for each of my two blogs, but no longer. It was killing me. Now I just drop on my in-box and sometimes new blogs that look interesting. This way, I more time for commenting which is what I really like to do.

Well, far be it from me to judge how many drops a day people should do! But I am puzzled about those who join the group and then never utilize its features. I suppose your answers are accurate- some join and then they get busy.
I like visiting blogs, and I drop back using my inbox. But it seems that the same 400 or so people always drop back… that’s fine, sure, OK. But the percentage of those who do not drop is amazingly large.

I’m dropping on you today.
I met Kathy through entrecard…and now you, crabbyblogginglady. I agree, if you join, you should try to use. I have found it to be a good service…although I don’t have the time to spend that many do.
