Vote for Ray Stevens

This guy sure has a lotta sense. It’s Ray Stevens, and I’d never heard his stuff before (although I have heard his name). I say we vote for HIM! I love his references to the Hokey Pokey: we put the right one in and left one OUT. Bwahahah!!!

I love his baseball hat, and the way he uses it as a prop. Nice touch. And that Granny wig, uh huh. Musta been on sale, one of those gifts for her on clearance. It’s a homegrown video, all right. And that’s why I LIKE it! We need to get back to WE THE PEOPLE again.

Rock on, Ray!!! You got my vote should you ever run.

Hat tip to Northview Diary for the video.

Did You Play Last Night?

Well, did you play P-BO Bingo last night? I found a website where I could watch the State of the Union address over the Internet (thanks, Marcia!). So we started it up…. and…. tried to watch and listen…. oh, the agony.

I tried. Like Bill Clinton said, “I tried really, really hard. It was the hardest thing I ever tried.” Yeah, I’m lying, too. I didn’t REALLY try hard. I did try, a little. It was just too nauseating. After hearing Nancy Pelosi’s slimy (and thankfully brief) introduction, the applause go on and on and on and on and on and on (like those loud TVs at circuit city or something), and then hearing Obama discuss how he “knows” our “anxieties,” I could bear no more, not even for a game of Bingo.

Mr. Obama, you LIE. You do not “know the anxieties” of Americans. You KNOW OF them, but you do not know them. If you truly KNEW them, then that last thing you would be doing is pushing that idiotic health care takeover and planning another “stimulus” package (“and this time, for the ‘little guys’!”). PUH-LEASE. Just slash taxes, cancel the Federal Reserve Act, ditch the IRS, get the military out of domestic policing actions, and RESIGN! THAT’s what THIS American wants! Americans want to be LEFT ALONE. Quit trying to “create jobs”!! (SEE, I TOLD YOU!!). Quit trying to GOVERN us! I want to govern MYSELF. Isn’t that still allowed in this country?????????

So did anybody play the Bingo game? I’m curious. I wonder how P-BO scored.

Wanna Play P-BO Bingo?

I haven’t watched a State of the Union address in a long, long, time… probably not since G.H.W. Bush. And it wasn’t pretty even back then.

But I JUST may decide to watch it! Know why? Because I got a card for Barack Bingo! Or, as I call it, P-BO Bingo! Come on, kids, let’s play!

How to Play: Mark off any words that President Barack Obama uses in his State of the Union speech tomorrow night.

Photobucket

Oh sure, I know good ol’ P-BO will be distracted with his teleprompter (it would be SO COOL if it malfunctioned tonight!) and all the glittering security cameras. But there’s a pretty good chance that I’ll score a BINGO. He hasn’t let us down yet!

Now I have to figure out where to get a TV so I can watch….

As If War Isn’t Bad Enough…

…now they’re going to mechanize war! Just like in Star Wars– war robots!

TEL AVIV, Israel – Israel is developing an army of robotic fighting machines that offers a window onto the potential future of warfare.

Sixty years of near-constant war, a low tolerance for enduring casualties in conflict, and its high-tech industry have long made Israel one of the world’s leading innovators of military robotics.

…Over 40 countries have military-robotics programs today. The U.S. and much of the rest of the world is betting big on the role of aerial drones: Even Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed Shiite guerrilla force in Lebanon, flew four Iranian-made drones against Israel during the 2006 Lebanon War.

When the U.S. invaded Iraq in 2003, it had just a handful of drones. Today, U.S. forces have around 7,000 unmanned vehicles in the air and an additional 12,000 on the ground, used for tasks including reconnaissance, airstrikes and bomb disposal.

I have a better idea! Let’s just STOP THE WARS! How about everybody quits the land- and money-grubbing and is CONTENT with what they have?! How’s them apples?

Photobucket

War is bad enough. Now they want to make it even easier with automation. Rrrrright. Mangled bodies, broken homes and hearts, devastated lands, mesothelioma, and radiation poisoning– that’s not enough! We have to spread the death and destruction by making war EASIER! Yay!

:rage: If these dudes were really serious about making war more palatable, they’d toss out all their bombs, and play competitive chess or use Lego men to smash each other. Easy as that.

Photobucket

Now don’t take me for a pacifist here. I love my AK-47 just as much as any girl. But I’m not going to go use it on my neighbor because I covet his pea patch! And I’m also not going to create a robot army so I can with a clear conscience invade my evil neighbor! And what good is it if my robots shoot his robots? Won’t we both just build more and more and more robots? How is this supposed to solve anything?!

War is EVILLLLLL. It must come with a cost! Otherwise, destroying people and their lands will be as easy as flipping a switch.

ALERT ALERT! Secret Jesus Codes on US Weapons!

ABC News: do only idiots work there? Or just the ones who make the news stories for the website? Like this news story:

U.S. Military Weapons Inscribed With Secret ‘Jesus’ Bible Codes

Coded references to New Testament Bible passages about Jesus Christ are inscribed on high-powered rifle sights provided to the United States military by a Michigan company, an ABC News investigation has found.

A “News investigation has found” them! BUSTED!!!

The sights are used by U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and in the training of Iraqi and Afghan soldiers. The maker of the sights, Trijicon, has a $660 million multi-year contract to provide up to 800,000 sights to the Marine Corps, and additional contracts to provide sights to the U.S. Army. One of the citations on the gun sights, 2COR4:6, is an apparent reference to Second Corinthians 4:6 of the New Testament, which reads: “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

Other references include citations from the books of Revelation, Matthew and John dealing with Jesus as “the light of the world.” John 8:12, referred to on the gun sights as JN8:12, reads, “Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

NUMBER ONE: It’s kind of insulting to refer to New Testament references as “Jesus Codes.” :ganagpunch: They are Bible verses references, you delinquents!

NUMBER TWO: The comments at the news story are filled with dumbkopfs spewing their “separation of church and state” rhetoric. What knuckleheads! For one, having a Bible reference on a piece of U.S. equipment is NOT endorsing a state religion! And the word “separation of church and state” is a lie. Yes, it’s a lie! Pat Robertson is right, haha! It’s not in the Constitution. It’s in an old letter written by Thomas Jefferson, when he was president in 1803, telling the Baptists that the government will never interfere with their right to express their religion freely. The liberals are dead wrong about “separation of church in state” in every way.

NUMBER THREE: Just wait until ABC News discovers the Secret Moses Code on the Liberty Bell!

P.S. I like the idea of “Secret Jesus Codes” on my weapons. I think I’m going to inscribe PS7:11 on my AK-47! :grinny:

Christ on the Jewish Road: Hate Meets Love

I’m reading this very good book called Christ on the Jewish Road. It’s a book about an atheist man of Jewish heritage living in Romania during and after World War II, who discovers salvation in Christ. The author, Richard Wurmbrand, then relates numerous stories of the struggles that he and other Romanian Christians experienced after the War– during the anti-Semitic pogroms from the Nazis, the Orthodox churches, and other groups; then he relates the Fascist and Communist upheavals of Eastern Europe (they were all right in the middle of everything). Oh my gosh, what these people went through! It’s scathing, just scathing. Half of the stuff these people go through is so totally and mind-bogglingly (wow, that word passes through spell-check!) foreign. And the other half is all about comminity and love and how these people banded together despite vicious persecution. This mindset of community coupled with the atrocities that Christians and Jews went through (and did to each other) is foreign to an American mind.

The news media here in America rant On and ON about how AWFUL we Americans are: racist, violent, undiversified! (that word did not pass spell-check) But we can’t hold a candle to the nasty, nasty people over there in Europe, especially during the 1930s to 1990s. Good God, for the sake of humanity!! HOW can people be SO wicked to each other?? There was one story where a young, fresh, open-hearted young man by the name of Friedmann (a Jew) became a Christian. He was such a happy young man- a whole fresh life ahead of him– but he was born during an unfortunate time, when Jews and faithful Christians were being crammed into cattle cars to be shipped off for slave labor and eventual murder. Friedmann was with a crowd that had been rounded up, and the soldiers stuffed men into a cattle truck. Young Friedmann peeped out through a little window, and it was told later that his face shone like the face of an angel. But a German soldier spotted him and fired at him, killing the lad.

And it wasn’t just the impersonal soldier stuff, either– Wurmbrand was arrested twice: once for holding church meetings without a license (the governments changed so many times– some gave permits, some didn’t), and another time for refusing to submit his church congregation to the Communist (atheist) regime. He and his wife were imprisoned… for FOURTEEN YEARS. And prisons in Communist Romania in the 1950s aren’t like the slick, Club Med cable-TV-McDonald’s-burgers-3x-a-day prisons of Palm Beach. They were HOLES in the ground. So while the fatcats of Communist Russia secretly enjoyed their Disney vacations and penthouse apartments while preaching “equality” to the peasants, they were devouring and arresting the very people (like Wurmbrand) who brought the message of REAL equality and love: Jesus Christ the Saviour.

The stories go on and on…. it would be too painful to rehash some of them…

This stuff just breaks the crustiest heart, I tell you. WHY must people be so so evil to each other?! Idiots blame God for all the suffering in the world, but you know what? It’s not God’s fault! It’s MAN’S fault! Isn’t just like a man to pass the buck and blame somebody else?? If anything, the mere fact that there is still LOVE in the world amongst all this evil is proof that God exists. The book is filled with many instances of when Christians reached out with love to their oppressors. You can’t tell me that this kind of love just bubbles up out of nowhere.

I bash my head against the wall. WHY oh WHY are people so wicked! It’s one thing to complain, to argue, to disagree, to hash things out while seeking for truth– but to TORTURE and MURDER people because they are different? Or because they won’t do things YOUR evil way? Good God.

By the way, how’s that health care bill coming along, hmm?
